Michael Effler and Erin Leader of Sea Sensations
The architectural design team behind Sea Sensations, Michael and Erin have owned and renovated wooden boats and classic yachts for over 25 years.
In his early 20's Michael Effler bought and restored an 18' centerboard Cat boat. Later he restored a 33' Kings Amethyst center cockpit cutter. He apprenticed and lived aboard at the Colonial Yacht Anchorage while restoring a Sparkman & Stephens 40' yawl.
Erin Leader grew up in the Northwest with wonderful summers spent on or in the water; fishing, skiing, sailing, rowing and swimming. Erin always appreciated the beauty of wooden boats, which became a passion when she met Michael Effler.
Michael and Erin joined forces to own and restore a Sam Rabl (picaroon) pocket cruiser, Hugh Angleman gaff rigged ketch, CT 41’ pilothouse ketch, Simon Fletcher runabout, various sailing and rowing skiffs as well as a 1930's Stephens Bros 45' bridge deck cruiser.
Erin and Michael also collaborate on the design and development of spas and wellness centers through their firm, International Design Concepts.
